Raised in church

I was born and raised in the church. I think a lot of people who have the same story as me would argue that they don’t have much of a story to tell. But I’ve realised that, the fact that I’m still in church and loving God, even in the absence of my parents (I’m at university now), means that Christianity is not just my parents’ religion that they forced on me but it’s my lifestyle.

Sometimes I fall into the trap of thinking that my story is pretty boring, then I realise that it’s actually pretty incredible! Because God has been so gracious that I managed to stay sheltered in His house, I didn’t have to go through the turmoil and the emptiness that is life without God. Now I’m not saying I’ve always been perfect – I mean, I made my fair share of mistakes even whilst in the church, but I’m so grateful for an incredible God who is always waiting and ready to receive me with open arms. When I declare that iamredemption I’m declaring that I am carrier of God’s amazing redemptive heart that welcomes people just as they are, only for Him to do an amazing work in them and change their story! What a privilege.
